  1. First of all, since this quote does say, “Do it NOW,” I decided to finish this blog post now and get it done and over it before “‘later becomes never’” and I get more homework piled up on me! ;-) This quote has a very special importance to me in many ways. Among the most important things that this quote makes me reflect on is my often poor time management skills. Although nowadays I’ve started to absorb more of the “overachieving” lifestyle while doing my work, I do have a really big problem with distraction, which makes my overachieving work ethic somewhat of an oxymoron! The problem is, I usually get distracted a LOT while doing my homework while searching up things on the Internet, and this is pretty much my foremost time-wasting enemy, besides my little brother Anuj distracting me, of course! In fact, when my dad and I were having a discussion about my poor work ethic, he asked me what long-term homework assignments I had to do. I told him that my blog for this month was due by the end of March, and so he asked me what my topic was for the month. When we did, I saw the quote, and as soon as I saw it, I felt like God slapped me right across the face with divine intervention, and my Dad and I had a big laugh about it!

Obviously, however, this quote means so much more than just being on time when doing your work. And although many people may say, “There’s always tomorrow,” the harsh reality is that tomorrow isn’t really promised for any one of us, which is why we must all live for today. I mean, think about it: who knows if we’re going to die tomorrow? I mean, some of us may never even wake up to see the light of day again, so it only makes sense to live for the “now” instead of the future, because by living in the “now”, you’re ALREADY impacting the future. Now that I think about it, this quote also quite sadly reminds me of the many times I’ve had the opportunity to tell those I loved how I felt about them, only to let them slip and walk out feeling like a coward consumed in my own fear. (Get the “Lose Yourself” reference?) It also reminds me of the many arguments I’ve have with my family and sometimes my friends, and it makes me realize that if “later” can become “never”, then we should be leaving joyous impressions on people, not depressing impressions. It’s almost like the Native American proverb, “When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a way that when you die the world cries and you rejoice.”

But anyways, back to the original quote (before I digress too much)! Although this quote may be very short and subtle, to me it has a really deep meaning that everyone should be aware of. It stresses the point that we may not live until tomorrow, so we should always do what we can in the precious time that God has given us to be alive and make a difference in this world. As Steve Jobs once read, “If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right.” And just as it came true for Steve Jobs one day, it will in all of our lives, whether tonight, tomorrow, or even 100 years from now, which is why we should always do what we can now. Who knows? One day, “later” WILL become “never”!

  2. This quote means that we have to do what we need to do and that we should not procrastinate. I only have a few limited opportunities, so we should take our chances and risks, otherwise, we will never get to experience something. If we miss out o something because of laziness, we get really annoyed even though we some times tell ourselves that being lazy is more fun. But that is not true, because new things will always pop up that we need to do.

Some reasons that we procrastinate for are the fear of the unknown, the fear to change, we think a task is too much work or bad, perfectionism, and the fear of failure. Many people can probably relate to the fear of failure and procrastination. Some of the physical effects of this are tension, stress, higher blood pressure, DIFFICULTY SLEEPING, fatigue and headaches. Some of the cognitive effects of procrastination are low esteem, and a sense of thinking being jammed. Some other effects are frustration, guilt, anxiety, fear, worry, anger, diminished creativity, a bad mood, and tense relationships.
Homework is something that relates to this quote. Many people, many times including myself, really love to lie about and just laze, but then we have to cram at the last minute to catch up with the rest of the students or class. For example, I had time to do this blog about a week and a half ago, but I chose to relax and watch T.V. Something unexpected could have popped up and prevented me from doing this after I had the chance, so that I couldn't finish it until a few days before the deadline.
We can always shirk the work and say that you will do it tomorrow, but tomorrow is a new day with its own set of work that we have to take care of. Slowly work that you could have finished will accumulate and will cause a lot of stress.
All of us can definitely use this quote in life, because there is a time where everyone is lazy. We need to take the opportunites that we have in order to improve our lives and become smarter. It doesn't matter if it is a risk, but at least you won't ever say I wish I did something when I had the chance.

  3. I can relate this quote to my own life very deeply. Honestly, I hate homework and it's always a dreadful experience to finish up my work. I always procrastinate and wait till the last second to get work done. I want to incorporate this quote into my life because getting my work done quick will give me time for other things. Instead of worrying about homework, I can get it done and have some fun after that. Laziness would hold me back so much. Its imperative for me to get my work done as soon as possible.

This quote reminds me of "A Dream Deferred", a poem by Langston Hughes. In the poem, Hughes talks about what would happen to a dream that was postponed. It could fade away or even just disappear. So if you keep saying "later" to your goal, it will eventually become "never". If you really wanted to pursue your goal, you wouldn't keep pushing it back. That's why it is important to live in the moment. You have to chase your goals without pushing it back to a later date.

Thinking back, I can remember many traces of procrastination. For example, I had a world history project about civilizations. We had to build a model in Minecraft. My group mates and I had a whole week to do the model and the powerpoint. Instead of spreading the work evenly, we did it all on the last day. It was such a hassle because first, we spent hours on just the minecraft model. After that, we had to get screenshots of the village and then we had to import the images to our drive. The whole experience was really stressful because the images took forever to upload onto our Google Drive. Even after we got them all uploaded, we still had to work on the power point. This all had to be done in like 2 hours! We rushed to finish and it was a dreadful experience. I'm glad that we had to go through it though. It taught me how to manage my time. It also showed me the consequences of bad time management. Like the quote, I learned to do things now and not later. If I let procrastination become a habit, I will eventually become too lazy to do anything. So, I want to take control of my life by doing things in time.

I really like this quote. It is simple yet it gets the message through to the audience. It reminds me of nike quotes where there is a simple statement with the nike swoosh underneath. It is also like Apple posters. The Apple posters usually have the "Think Different" slogan with the apple underneath. Both messages are simple yet powerful. I love the message itself as well. It's something that everyone can relate to. People of all ages and races have to deal with laziness so this message is conveyed to everyone, not just school kids. This universal message is important for a successful life.

  4. When the author of this quote says “Do it now,” he or she is simply implying that there is no better time to do work than in the present. The reason being that, work that is delayed will either not be finished or it will not be the best. I’m sure everyone, including me, have pushed their tasks to the future just so that they don’t have to do it now, at least at some point in their lives. After all, it is human nature to procrastinate, even though the consequences can be harsh. However, the fact is that nothing good can come of this. It may ease your mind right now, but in the future it could be double the hassle.

There have been plenty of instances where I’ve done the exact opposite of what the quote is conveying. I’m sure every student can relate this to homework. Every single day I think of 1) the work that is due tomorrow, and 2) the work that isn’t due till a couple days later. As soon as I get home, I promise to myself, “Today is the day. Today I’ll do all my homework that was issued to me, even if it’s not due till another week or so. I’ll just take in the stress for one day so that I won’t have to struggle later.” And then I start working rigorously for an hour or so, but then I get epicly distracted with Youtube videos or whatever. After a while, I sigh to myself and think, “Oh, whatever. This isn’t due until a while, so I think I’ll be safe if I continue fooling around for today.” This usually leads to staying up late, a week or so later, before a specific assignment is due. Even though I remember to finish my work at the last minute and stretch it out until I finish, there are plenty of people who have experienced that in fact, “later” does indeed become “never.”

Furthermore, this quote also ties in with opportunity. When opportunity is knocking at your door and right in front of you, some people might not see the benefits and decide to decline or delay their chance to shine. However, they don’t understand that it’s always a now or never situation. You either take the advantage, work hard right now, and be successful later, or forget about it completely.

This quote reminds me of a book I read in Language Arts called “Steve Jobs: A Man Who Thought Different.” In a particular chapter of the biography, the author is talking about how Steve wanted Apple’s advertisements to be like Nike’s. He admired the fact that instead of trying to convince the people to buy a specific product, the company would use universal quotes to appeal to the reader. Like Vipin was saying above, the simplicity of the saying reminded me of both Apple and Nike, as they had quotes and slogans like “Think Different” and “Just Do It.” Despite the straightforward concept, the quote has deep meaning and message to interpet.

In conclusion, I think that this quote is crucial to understand, as it can greatly contribute to one’s success in the future. It can be applied to anyone. In a student’s perspective, it could mean doing all your assignments as early as possible so that you can relax and not have to worry about anything later. In an adult’s perspective, it could mean completing their work related tasks before the given time frame in order to gain recognition. In an elderly’s perspective, it could mean doing everything he or she want’s to do (like traveling and spending time with family) before they pass away. Overall, any person, regardless of age and situation, should learn from this quote that it is important to do it now, because stalling will only make it not happen at all.

  5. “Do it now. Sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never.’”

This quote obviously is about procrastination, about how you should stop putting off everything. But I believe that this quote also means there is not always a tomorrow. Your time is limited and you should make the best the limited time you have left. The time you have should not be wasted procrastinating. The time should be spent actually do-ing.

You won’t always be able to do a cartwheel. You won’t always be able to shave your hair to a Mohawk and dye it electric blue. You won’t always be able to splurge on Oreo ice cream. And I feel as if we tend to forget that we’re not immortal, that we won’t forever be youthful. We think that we have our entire lives in front of us, for decades to come. But for some of us, this vision may not be true by an unfortunate twist of fate.

“Someday I hope you get the chance to live like you were dying. Like tomorrow was a gift. And you’re got eternity to think about what you’d do with it. What would you do with it?” (“Live Like You Were Dying” by Tim McGraw).

In response, most of us would say: “One day, I want to go skydiving in New Zealand. One day I want to become an Amazon. One day I want to go to the Swiss Alps and eat real Swiss cheese in Switzerland. One day I want to wrestle John Cena. One day I want to adopt a monkey. One day I want to change the world.”

Our goals tend to always be reserved for “one day.” But at the end of every day we should be able to say, “I… I did it all. I owned every second the world could give. I saw so many places. The things I did… Yeah, with every broken bone I swear I lived” (“I Lived” by One Republic). Our bucket lists shouldn’t be reserved for a later date. It should be our goals to complete as much of our bucket lists as we possibly can right now. We should aim to fulfill those goals as soon as possible.

When we die, we’ll most likely be forgotten, lost in oblivion. The only way to find a meaning or the purpose of our existence is to go out of our ways to achieve our dreams and goals. “Feel the rain on your skin. No one else can feel it for you; only you can let it in. No one, no one else can speak the words on your lips. Drench yourself in words unspoken, live your life with arms wide open. Today is where your book begins. The rest is still unwritten” (Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield). What I believe she is saying is to stop waiting to do what you want to do. No one else is going to do everything you want to do. To truly live and enjoy life. And to that, you must sacrifice procrastination.

Basically, this quote tells people not to procrastinate, something we all can admit to doing. The DO IT NOW part means what it says: do whatever you want or have to do now, and not later, but NOW. The punishment for not heeding this advice is the second part of this quote: Sometimes later becomes never. After a while, you just continue to delay what has to get done, to a point where it is due and you have nothing to hand in. This could have all been avoided if you had simply decided to do your work early on, and not put it on until the very last minute.

This quote reminds me of a popular motivational speech we all know as: "JUST DO IT!" In it, Shia LaBeouf takes about doing things now, and not later. He tells the audience never to give up or shy away in fear, but instead to take it on head-first. The author of this quote writes in a similar fashion. He or she writes telling people to do "it"(whatever the reader seeks to accomplish: a dream or a wish) and to do it NOW.

I can also relate to this quote, along with probably everyone else. For example, I almost always let my blog comment pass by until the day before it's due, where I end up typing as fast as I possibly can to get it done and not get it late. Every time I do so, I go through incredible stress and panic. And yet I don't stop. It's just a lot easier to procrastinate and leave it to the last moment and instead to do something a lot more fun, such as watch Youtube videos or play Minecraft on my Ipad. Working on this blog comment is a lot tougher than playing around, and so it's hard not to procrastinate. However, it is probably is a better idea to follow this quote as would make life a whole lot easier. After putting the effort and actually finishing this comment early, I wouldn't have to worry about rushing or quality, as I would have enough time to manage both.

  7. Many times, we find ourselves procrastinating, whether it be on something as simple as homework or a chore, or as hard as a final project. Everyone does this at one point or the other. People these days think “Oh, I have enough things to do today, I’ll do it tomorrow”. Eventually it get pushed back so far that we forget to do it completely. Such a thing is shown in school when most students end up completing an assignment at the last possible moment.
I completely agree with this quote because it encourages you to complete your assignments and tasks ahead of time. This enables you to put more effort into a task, and eventually have time to make it be one of the best there is. Scheduling your work is a very effective technique because it enables you to have free time and plan ahead. For example, if you have a party planned for the day before a project is due, managing both things can be really hard. However, if you plan ahead and schedule your work, you can get the project done before time and relax on the last day at the party. This proverb proves to be extra useful in work-filled environments, such as high school and college. It will be necessary for students to schedule their activities and complete assignments ahead of time if they want to avoid overloading themselves with multiple things on one night.
Although most people relate this saying to school work and studies, it can also be used to refer to things outside of the educational world. Planning ahead also needs to be used in other goals, such as practicing for a spot in the basketball or volleyball team. People often think “I’ll do that later because I have more important things to do.” However, eventually people forget about what they wanted to do or simply just give up. For example, if someone is trying out for a sports team, they must take extra time off to practice regularly. If they simply just start practicing a week before the tryouts, it is very unlikely that they’ll succeed in making it onto the team.
People of all ages should use this proverb as an inspiration. If used correctly, it can make the life of numerous people much easier, without the extra load that we always load upon ourselves.

  9. This saying or quote “Do It Now” “Sometimes become later becomes never” is something that a lot of people should follow. This quote is motivational to help fight procrastination which is something that I do but I’m not proud of it. As you would expect whenever something is being pushed until the last minute, whether it be a project or a monthly blog such as this, the pressure can cause you to not be able to put your best foot forward and give all of your effort like you would have if you spent more time and didn’t procrastinate. Many people procrastinate like me and it keeps us from achieving your full potential.

The Do It Now part also tells us to do something when you feel passionate about it and when you have the drive to accomplish something. As you wait and stall and push it for later, it starts to nag at you and it slowly losses passion and you do not feel the drive to complete that task that you did when you first decided about it.

The sometimes becomes later becomes never part is about how if, as I mentioned earlier, you do not do something when you have  a strong passion, then you slowly lose passion and if you keep putting it off,  over and over again, you will eventually completely lose any desire and motivation, then that sometimes becomes the never and so much possible potential goes down the drain.

Overall, this quote is saying how by doing something now and having the motivation to not procrastinate can help you accomplish great things. Whereas, procrastinating completely kills any possibilities. Everyone should apply this to their lives to be able to be more successful and accomplish great things.

  10. It’s almost as if we think that the later we do what we want to do, the better we will be at it, the way we postpone everything. I’m not exactly too happy about this, but truthfully, it’s as if this quote was written for me. I put everything off to tomorrow; whether it be as small as asking the guidance counselor about a question for high school or doing a chore at home, or as big as completing an essay for school that counts as a double major grade. The longer I have time to do something, the more I postpone it - I am literally never able to do it beforehand. Countless years have gone by when I have made resolutions to never procrastinate, yet those have never been fulfilled, either. This quote is completely true and I have witnessed it come true in my life many times. When you keep delaying things, you indeed tend to forget about them and and never accomplish them later on. There have been multiple times when I have thought to myself about entering a contest, or something small such as cleaning my room, but I never get it done due to my procrastination. When I say I’ll do it later, I’m able to convince the foolish side of me that I’ll get it done sometime soon, but the more rational, logical sides of my brain know that my later usually means never if what I have to isn’t urgent.

First and foremost, this quote refers to not temporizing things, to not delay your goals and ambitions. Other than the basic fact that you might simply forget or not care about what you have to do if you postpone it, you might be very well disregarding the biggest chance of your life. Many times, if you delay a chance that is being offered to you and think about it too much, it’ll just go away right below your nose, and what you planned to do later will never be able to happen. Take stocks and investing for example. Not that I’m too experienced in the matter, but if you wait too long to buy stock and take a risk, it might go up immediately afterwards, and what you wanted to do later is now not possible (unless you want to be in a loss of money). Or sometimes it's not even your fault - someone else takes the opportunity that you were once presented with. If you are given the option for signing in for some sort of event, but if you delay the process of signing, someone else might be given your opportunity. It’s better to do something now than to do it later, because you never know when it might go away. This especially goes when you are talking about a loved one or an elder family member. Although right now you may postpone being with a close family member, you never know when they may leave this world forever.

In some things, you do receive a second chance, but most times, if you don’t pay attention, destiny will swipe away what you didn’t do, but wanted to. Nobody in this world will babysit you, encouraging you to do something everyday until you finally step up and do it  yourself. Everybody just wants to take advantage of situations for themselves, and if you wait too long to accomplish something that you have wanted to do, someone else will take away what you longed to do, and nobody will be there to warn you when that time comes. An idea that was once yours may be stolen and brought to life by another person. If you really were passionate enough with what you wanted to do, then you would have done it in the first place. Although many don’t want to face the truth, but the reality is that you have to face everything yourself, and do everything when you can. Spontaneity is one of the most wonderful yet cruelest things in the world - you don’t know when you will have to face a disease or disability, and even the most ordinary, everyday things will be impossible for you. So why wait to do what you have longed to do for so long? You won’t be given a warning to tell you that the “one day” you are waiting for will never come.

  11. At another level, when you postpone things, you often lose the passion or drive that you had when you first had. This especially applies to things that you wanted to do when you were younger. I know when I was younger, (in kindergarten)  I always wanted to squeeze out an entire tube of toothpaste, because it felt so satisfying to me back then. Even though this isn’t your average goal, I always put it off and thought that I would do it later. But I didn’t see how fast my childhood would slip away from me, and now it’s not possible for me to squeeze out toothpaste because I would get into severe trouble. However if I had done it at that age, it would be understandable that a little kid does foolish things, and I could have gotten away with it. I know this isn’t the best, most important example, but it's a true story. Other times, you may think that you are too “cool” or too much of a mature, adult to accomplish something that you wanted to do when you were younger. Although we no longer have carefree, childhood days, at least we are living before the future; before we undergo into a different phase in which we don’t like the goals that we have right now. If you do something now, then you will never regret not doing it, but if you don’t do it and wish you did when you got older, there’s really nothing you can do about it.

To postpone something important, is to dodge it temporarily. Above I talked about things to do that you may not be able to do in the future. But there are many things that you know that you have to do; things that you know someday you will have to face, if not know. This quote also applies to that, because if you dodge something that you are too scared to do, then your fear will just grow, and eventually it will become impossible to do even if it’s super important. You will then be trapped in your own circle of fear. It’s better to do things right now, because then you can get over with it. If you know you have to do a large assignment due at the end of the year, then why not now? In this case, if you do it today, or later, then you will still have to face the same situation. Just because you dodged it right now doesn’t mean that it will be easier for you in the future.

Yes, it’s true that scientists are working on making human life immortal, but we still don’t know when that will happen. As far as we know, currently, we don’t live forever. How long life is for each of us it different, but we all have a similarity - we all are here temporarily. The reason life is so precious is because it is short, and we have a limited time to do what we want to do. We all have short length of time on this planet, and it’s up to us whether we want to accomplish our wantings right now or later. If you do it right now then it’s good, but if you do it later, then your longings are up for grabs - whether it be someone else, or destiny that will take it away. Do what you want to do now, or risk never doing it.

  12. This quote just straight up describes my life. I wait last minute--to do literally everything. I don’t care if I have 5 hours to do an assignment, I won’t do it! I just can’t seem to do anything else other than procrastinate. I try, so very hard, but somehow I know I will find myself starting math homework at two in the morning. For Ms.DiLonardo’s class, we have to write a journal entry every week and it’s due on Friday. This means, we have 4 days to work on it, but I find myself doing it in the morning at 1 a.m., still trying not to procrastinate. I don’t know what my problem is. I think I just get too easily distracted. For example, here’s what my usual schedule after coming home from school looks like.
If I try to start math homework or any other homework, I’ll get distracted with something on my skin and Google what it is and try to find out if I’m dying. Of course I’m not because I notice that piece of object on my skin was actually an eraser shaving. After I’m reassured I’m not dying, I go back to do my math homework, but I remember to put on my music. In the process of doing this, I end up watching at least ninety videos on YouTube with all my favorite YouTubers. After doing this, I realize I need to start my homework, and I finish three problems and get distracted again with the music that’s playing. The artist had just said, “Hey this is my new song. Enjoy!” and I go crazy. I did not know that my favorite artist had released a song! So I Google everything about it, watch the official music video and finally I’m settled and satisfied so now I could start my homework. But instead, one of my friends choose to text me at that moment and they're asking me a question on the math homework that I haven’t even started yet. Obviously I go to the problem and answer their question and go back to my own homework to start it. After a few minutes I have finished the easy part of my homework. Feeling accomplished, I go to my Netflix account and watch Arrow or The Flash. I promise myself that I’m only going to watch one episode, but obviously not. I keep on binge watching an entire season and then I realize...it’s 1:30 in the morning! I started my homework at five after I came home from school but instead had spent about eight hours procrastinating and finished only a partial amount of what I needed the next day. And this is where I just give up and go to sleep. I do wake up later to finish at five in the morning but--but I had spent eight hours doing nothing except do the most useless things that I didn’t need to do.
Anyway, as I was saying, this quote is for people like me. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve said that I wanted to do something, but not done it because I was too lazy. I now regret doing this. Maybe it was a favorite book that I wanted to read but never actually read it because I got too lazy. Maybe it was a sport, but I was to lazy to be committed to the practice that is required. The point is, is that procrastination can be fatal for you. Not like you’re gonna pass away fatal but fatal in the sense that your life will be boring and empty and you’ll always regret it. The maximum a average human can live is around 80 years old. But during these 80 years, you’ve never once done anything to alter your life course and you kept saying, “Later. I’ll do it later.” But this was pushed to never and you can’t achieve anything in life by doing that. In a way, this quote does mean to actually achieve your dreams. Human life is not forever and the time we do have should be taken advantage of. It seems impossible but getting up and actually doing something with your life will only result in you being satisfied and complete. Procrastination could literally be the death of us, but no one should let that happen to them.

  13. Again, this will be repetitive. Again, this blog is late. Seems like it’s routine by now. Anyway, let’s get right into this. The quote above is true...ish. I’ll explain what I mean by that a little further into the post. Let’s focus on why the quote is true for now. I’ll bet everything that I own that there hasn’t been one person in the modern world who hasn’t experienced the situation that this quote is presenting. (That might seem like quite a gamble, but I don’t really own much. Still, my point stands.) Basically, everyone has procrastinated at one point or another in life, whether it be on a homework assignment, looking for a job, or paying the bills. Even I’m guilty of it. In fact, I’m like Exhibit A when it comes to putting things off. I mean, just look at the date that I’m publishing this post; it’s a day late! No April Fools jokes here, I’m just a huge procrastinator. For example, I’ll complete my homework in order from easiest work to hardest work. This isn’t a skill for efficiency—just procrastination. I won’t lie, more often than not I try to put off doing the hardest work for as long as possible. I’ve probably set a procrastination world record without even knowing it (hey, Guinness Book of World Records, give me a call!). But if I hate doing the work, then why do I prolong it? Doesn’t that sound so odd, to make something you loathe last longer than it should? I believe it’s a part of our brains (the scheming, lazy part of our brains that tries hard to do nothing and works on nothing else but that) that wishes in vain that if you put off the work, then it will eventually go away. It coaxes you in a sickly sweet voice, whispering “later, later, later”. And, as if we’ve been hypnotized, we repeat the words to ourselves and prolong the work. This normally doesn’t succeed with me, because I always have a truckload of work and know that I have to get it all done eventually, but sometimes people fall victim to that voice in their heads and put off the work until it never gets done (this is what I was referring to earlier about the quote being true-ish when regarding me. I’ve never put off something so much that it never gets done. Though, there’s always a possibility.) This is why we need to overcome and tune out the tempting words to make sure the things we need to do eventually do get done. Otherwise, there can be serious, permanent consequences. Yeah, sure, you put off a homework assignment and get an F. Doesn’t sound too life changing, does it? But procrastination appears on a whole different level of severity when you realize the consequences of putting off the mortgage payment, or finding a job, or getting yourself out of debt. Gaining the habit of saying “later, later, later” can impact your future in ways you certainly don’t want it to. So, don’t do what I do, and get that blog done early!

  15. My parents have embedded this quote into my mind since I was little. As many of my friends know, I procrastinate all the time especially when having to do big projects or assignments. This quote is very true and I have many personal experiences that support this quote. At the beginning of this school year, I made a promise to myself that I would not wait last minute to do assignments.

Since September, I have been trying to withhold up to my promise but it does sometimes become difficult. There are so many distractions and temptations of doing other things other than homework. To be honest, we all don't enjoy homework (at least most of us) and doing it takes hours and hours of dreadfulness. So we all want to take a break and go on Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, Netflix, and etc. We tell ourselves, “Only ten minutes. I can do my homework after.” Well next thing we know those ten minutes have become half an hour or maybe more.

We keep telling ourselves we will do that certain task later. But in reality, will later come? When we get the opportunity to just complete something, we should just do it at that moment. If we keep waiting, we may be given more tasks and obstacles to complete. The overload of work then creates stress and frustration. Sometimes the unexpected happens. If something randomly pops up and has to be done or resolved right at the moment, there may not be time for the earlier assignment that was supposed to be completed. Or, you may just forget to do the assignment as the habit of procrastination is taking over.

When we get the time do anything before hand or on an earlier note, we should take the opportunity of completing the job right at the moment where there is less stress. Later on, we might end up not doing it at all due to forgetfulness, laziness, distractions, overload of work, new obstacles, and there are many other possibilities. So always remember, “Do it now. Sometimes ‘later’ becomes ‘never’”
